How it Works

After you install the NetProtection router, all communication with the Internet will be controlled by it, which filters web content, according to the defined rules - either for all devices or individually. These rules may be under the type of website content (such as pornography) or a list of allowed and blocked sites. You can also set hours and days of the week rules on whenever each device can access the Internet.

The settings, monitoring, and reports are made through the cloud. So you can access the NetProtection Control Panel from anywhere.

The devices connected to your network are automatically recognized, so you can set which ones will or will not be controlled. For non-controlled devices, for example the cellphone of a visitor, you can set it up as totally blocked or free access (no restrictions).

NetProtection was developed in partnership by companies Winco and Netfilter, both with over 15 years of extensive experience in the information security area.

Categories

Netprotection regularly generates an updated database with websites distributed in 10 categories:

  • Banks
  • Shopping
  • Sports
  • Music
  • News
  • Pornography
  • Social Networks
  • Travels
  • Videos
  • Violence

Cloud Control Panel

Netprotection can be administered from any computer, tablet or cellphone, connected to the Internet. View reports, access logs, create permissions and lock devices in an intuitive interface.

If your company is franchised or has branches, manage multiple routers (Netprotection Plus) from a single access, facilitating and automating the multiple website configuration.

Reports

Reports of Internet usage are an important tool for consultation.

Access the graphics reports of use by 'Pages Accessed', 'URL' or 'usage time' device by device or all of which are controlled by NetProtection.

Lists of sites

Create your own lists of inclusion or exclusion for specific websites.

For example, if you want to block all social networks except for Twitter, just enable the Block for Social Networks category and create a list allowing Twitter.

Another possible application is registering websites directly on computer station. If a device attempts to access a website and is prohibited, you can allow access directly from the web browser with the administrator password.

Control by time

One of the main advantages of NetProtection is the ability to apply rules of access times, device by device.

With this, you can create schedules and days of the week allowed for navigation on the devices on your network, blocking access to the Internet at other times.

For example:
- your children can have free access during the weekend, limited access and block categories of sites during the week.
- your employees can have limited access during their work hours and free access during their lunch.
